What does an evaluation consist of?

Each evaluation is customized to the needs of the individual. In addition to a detailed clinical interview and testing, an evaluation may include a thorough review of school records, psychiatric treatment history, and previous evaluations; meetings with parents and other involved parties; and/or classroom observation.

After testing is complete, we provide a comprehensive written report with recommendations. Additional feedback regarding the results of the evaluation is available upon request. Fall Creek also offers follow-up treatment and consultations to children, parents and schools.

Diagnostic assessments using standardize tests are very useful tools for determining individual needs and necessary accommodations in the classroom. Our reports are clear, concise, and "user-friendly", with timely and relevant recommendations.

What is an Independent Evaluation?

From time to time, students may require additional outside testing to verify school district findings. Parents may also request outside testing so that their child's evaluation can be scheduled more quickly, as can often happen in a private setting.

These evaluations can be used to identify learning and/or special educational service needs that can be addressed by specific school or college-based accommodations. In addition, testing can help facilitate the development of an appropriate educational plan and suggest those environments which most enhance a child's ability to learn. Eligibility for untimed standardized testing can also be determined with comprehensive evaluations.
